Syd Birnie, one of our Directors, will be presenting for the third time at Build It Aberdeen, with this year's theme being 'A Global Pandemic, Brexit, Transition to Net Zero, and the Future of the Construction Industry'.

Syd will be covering the topic of 'Increased demand for Lower Carbon Building - New Principles, Materials, and Skills', and his presentation will include information on the benefits of mass timber v's other construction materials, carbon sequestration and the role it can have within the built environment, how the use of Cross Laminated Timber can help to drive re-forestations and reduce CO2 levels, and the principles of Passivhaus.

Syd will be talking delegates through some of the biggest projects that we have supported on to date, including Merkinch Primary School in Inverness. Delegates will also get a sneak peek a some of the exciting and high-profile projects that we are currently working on, and all will be revealed on the day...
